Fantasy Football Owners Opposed to Rush Limbaugh Joining Their League

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

With much opposition in his attempt to purchase a share of the St. Louis Rams, Rush Limbaugh has shifted his attention to joining the Serenity Now Fantasy Football League. Such a move is widely opposed by current league owners.

"Rush Limbaugh? No way," said Lou Meyers, owner of Brian Westbrook's MRI Experience. "We can't have such a polarizing figure as a part of our league. It would not be good for our image."

Mitchell Tompkins, co-owner of That's What She Said, agrees.

"A fantasy football owner cannot be making public statements that we all know Rush will make from time to time. What would people think of us, if we are affiliated with such comments? Besides, I don't want him talking about fantasy football trade proposals or other transactions on the radio before they happen. We take tampering in our league very seriously."
