USC has dominated the PAC-10 in football while under Pete Carroll. Today, UCLA and the remaining PAC-10 schools have made it known publicly that they would like the Trojans to have a salary cap.
"We all pay players, who are we kidding. But there needs to be a limit. Not everyone has the resources of a USC," said a member of the Bruins staff, who would like to remain anonymous. "The rest of the PAC-10 can't compete if the playing field isn't leveled. It's pretty much like the Yankees and Red Sox in baseball. The rich keep getting richer."
No word yet from the PAC-10 offices on when or if a football salary cap would be implemented.
