The Michael Crabtree holdout has been among the top NFL headlines recently. Most reports indicate that he wants more money than Darrius Heyward-Bey, the top pick of the Raiders. But a source from inside Crabtree's camp indicates that he is not holding out for money. He's holding out for a better quarterback.
"I mean who is going to throw him the ball, J.T. O'Alex Shaunsmith?" questioned the source. Making reference to the last three 49ers quarterbacks. "Besides, Michael has a degree from Texas Tech University, and he can fall back on that if he chooses to sit out this season. What's that....he didn't graduate? Does San Francisco know that?"
