Lou Holtz Predicts ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac-10 Won't Play Football This Year

Lou Holtz is making some crazy predictions. For example, he thinks that Notre Dame will play in this season's national championship game and take on Florida. He doesn't think Notre Dame will get there because of their easy schedule, he believes that the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac-10 will just take the year off.

"I may say a lot of crazy things," said Holtz, "but the only way Notre Dame makes the national title game is if these 5 conferences take the year off. And if someone in the WAC beats Boise State. BYU, Utah and TCU would have to have a down year too. And we'd have to be living in the 70s or 80s."

Only time will tell if Holtz's wild prediction will come true. But if the chips fall in Notre Dame's favor, and the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac-10 take the year off, and Boise State, BYU, Utah and TCU have down years, we could be looking at a Florida/Notre Dame championship match-up.
