Phil Jackson to only Coach Home Games on Tuesdays

Sunday, June 28, 2009

In an unprecedented move in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers announced today that head coach Phil Jackson will only coach the team in home games played on Tuesdays. The coach's declining health, his personal interests, and other factors are the reason for this move. Assistant coach Kurt Rambis will take over coaching duties for the remaining games. When asked what he will do with his additional free time, Jackson was unsure of what exactly he will do. "I don't know, maybe I'll take a cake decorating class, or take up gardening or something. I'm really not sure. Really, I'm just looking forward to making millions of dollars while only working one day per week."
